How to avoid heat stroke and heat exhaustion?

Summers in Hyderabad are getting hotter every year, and I work outdoors quite a bit. I've heard about heatstroke and heat exhaustion and want to make sure I'm taking the right precautions. What are the best ways to avoid these serious conditions?

During peak summer, plan your outdoor activities for early mornings or late evenings. Always carry a water bottle and take frequent breaks in the shade. If you feel any dizziness or extreme fatigue, stop immediately and find a cool spot. Prioritize health over deadlines.

Last summer, I was so worried about heat stroke, kept checking symptoms all the time. But honestly, staying hydrated and just chilling indoors during the afternoon works wonders. Don't overthink it, just be smart about managing your time outside.

I totally get it, the Indian summers can be brutal! I make sure to drink lots of water, not just when I'm thirsty, but throughout the day. Also, wearing light, loose cotton clothes really helps. And try to stay indoors during the hottest part of the day.

My mother always tells us to drink plenty of buttermilk and lemon water during summer. And keep head covered when going out. These simple things help. But if you feel very unwell, don't hesitate to consult a doctor, as heat stroke can be very serious.

Hydrate constantly, not just with water but also ORS or coconut water to replace electrolytes. Wear light-colored, breathable clothing. Avoid heavy meals and alcohol. If someone shows signs like confusion or a very high body temp, it's an emergency, get medical help immediately.
