How to avoid ear pain on a plane?

My husband and I are flying for our anniversary trip soon, and I always dread the ear pressure and pain on the plane. Someone told me chewing gum helps, but I want to know what else can be done. Any tips?

I used to suffer terribly from this! The key is to constantly equalize the pressure. Swallowing, yawning, or chewing gum works best. For me, drinking small sips of water throughout take-off and landing is a lifesaver. If you have a cold, definitely use a decongestant nasal spray an hour before flying, as per doctor's advice.

Simple funda hai, bhai. Pressure build-up hota hai kaan mein. Take-off aur landing ke time, chew gum or suck on a lozenge. Keep yawning, ya fir Valsalva maneuver try karo. Kaan mein pressure feel ho toh yeh sab karo, it will help.

Sweetheart, ear pain on a plane is super common and nothing to worry about too much. Just keep your jaw moving by chewing gum or having a hard candy during ascent and descent. Also, don't fall asleep during landing. You'll be fine, just try these simple tricks.

Beta, hawa ke badlav se kaan mein dard hota hai. Humare zamane mein toh flight kam thi, but jab bhi hota tha, log kehte the kuch chabate raho ya thoda paani piyo. Aur agar sardi ho toh doctor se pooch ke koi naak ki dawa le sakte ho. Dhyaan rakho apna.

For ear pain, it's about managing pressure, similar to how you manage your breathing during a workout. Stay hydrated, and activate your jaw muscles by chewing or yawning. Avoid anything that might cause congestion before the flight. Healthy body adapts better.

I had a terrible experience with this last year! Now, I always carry special earplugs designed for flying, and I make sure to drink plenty of water before and during the flight. Also, actively swallowing helps a lot. It significantly reduced my pain on my last trip.
