How to avoid dandruff in winter naturally?

Every winter, my scalp gets so dry and flaky, and dandruff becomes a big problem. I've tried a few over-the-counter shampoos, but they don't seem to help much. Are there any natural remedies or ways to keep it at bay?

Winter brings dryness, for both skin and scalp. Try to stay positive, it affects everything. Nourish your scalp with natural oils like coconut or almond oil, massage gently. And cover your head when out in the cold. It's about self-care and finding peace.

Dandruff can sometimes be related to underlying health issues, just like my thyroid. While natural remedies are great, if it's persistent, it's worth checking if there's any hormonal imbalance or something else going on. Always good to rule out medical causes with a doctor first.

I totally get it, winter dandruff is the worst! The dry air just makes it so bad. What has worked for me naturally is using diluted apple cider vinegar rinse once a week, and regularly oiling my scalp with warm coconut oil before shampoo. Also, make sure your shampoo is mild and sulfate-free.

It's annoying when dandruff shows up, and sometimes it makes you feel self-conscious, right? I totally get that. For winter dandruff, what helps me is warm oil massages with neem or tea tree oil, and then a mild shampoo. Avoid very hot water for hair wash.

My dermatologist explained that winter dandruff can be due to dry scalp or worsening of a fungal condition (seborrheic dermatitis). Naturally, you can try applying aloe vera gel to the scalp or using a paste of soaked fenugreek seeds (methi) before shampooing. Ensure you're not using harsh chemicals. If it persists, a medicated shampoo might be needed, as prescribed by a doctor, especially if it's fungal.

Hello! Dandruff in winter is usually due to dry scalp. My go-to natural remedy is a good head massage with warm coconut oil mixed with a few drops of tea tree oil overnight, then shampoo in the morning. Also, make sure you're not washing your hair with very hot water, and try not to scratch your scalp too much. Keep your scalp moisturized!
