How soon does breast tenderness begin in pregnancy?

I'm charting my cycle and noticed some breast tenderness a few days ago. We've been trying for a baby, so I'm wondering how soon into a pregnancy does breast tenderness typically begin for most women?

For my partner, even a gentle hug felt like a wrestling move by the third week! It starts pretty fast, so if you are suddenly treating your chest like fragile glass, you might want to pick up a test kit soon.

I just went through this last month! The tenderness kicked in around 10 days after ovulation, even before I missed my period. I swapped all my underwire bras for ultra-soft bralettes and it made a massive difference in managing the day-to-day soreness.

I have been noticing some mild tingling and tenderness for the past two days, but I still have a week left for my period. Does the tenderness usually start this early for most people, or could it just be my regular cycle acting up?

Yes, it can start as early as one to two weeks after conception. Wearing a very soft, wireless cotton bra even while sleeping helped me deal with the discomfort.

Haan na, within 3-4 weeks itself it starts feeling so heavy and sore. Actually, even I thought it was just regular PMS pain initially, but then it didn't go away. Don't worry, it is a very common thing during early days.

I remember waking up in week four feeling so sore that I panicked and thought something was seriously wrong with my health. But my gynae explained it is just progesterone rising quickly to support the pregnancy. It settled down quite a bit by the second trimester, so hang in there!

Mine started around week five, but I ignored it and some mild cramping, thinking it was normal, and didn't see a doctor until much later. Please don't delay your first doctor checkup once you suspect pregnancy, as getting your hormone levels and health monitored early is super important.
