How soon after sex can you test for pregnancy?
I'm trying to understand the timeline for pregnancy tests. If someone has had sex, what's the absolute earliest they can test for pregnancy and get a reliable answer? I've heard different things.

Patience is a virtue, but in this case, it is also a biological necessity! Testing the morning after sex is only going to empty your wallet on chemist kits. Give it a good 2 weeks, otherwise you are just testing your luck, not pregnancy!
I went through this exact scare recently. I learned that doing a test before 14 days is pretty much useless because the body hasn't made enough HCG yet. It is so hard to wait, but trying to test on day 5 or 6 will just give you a blank screen and more anxiety.

I have been down this road twice. The most accurate time is 14 days after intercourse, but if you want 100% certainty, wait till the day of your expected period. Also, always use the first morning urine because it is the most concentrated and won't give a faint, confusing line.

The body operates on its own natural rhythm and cannot be rushed. It is best to wait for at least two weeks before testing. Meanwhile, practice some deep breathing to calm your mind, keep your system clean, and trust that whatever happens will be fine.
