Someone in my village just gave birth, and she said she didn't even know she was pregnant until very late. I was very surprised. How rare is cryptic pregnancy? Is it something that happens often?

It is extremely rare. Most women will know they are pregnant through missed periods or positive tests.

Haha, it's very rare! Don't worry, you won't suddenly wake up with a baby one fine morning without knowing. Modern tests are too good to miss it unless you are in a movie!

My girlfriend was super paranoid about this after reading TikTok stories. Honestly, it's incredibly rare and doesn't happen like that if you are taking regular pregnancy tests. Just relax, those internet stories are mostly exaggerated.

It is actually extremely rare, yaar. Don't believe everything you see on social media reels. If you miss your period, just do a normal home test and consult a gynaecologist, sorted!

In my years of practice, I have almost never seen a true cryptic pregnancy. Usually, there are always some symptoms, or a standard urine/blood test will easily pick up the pregnancy. If you are worried, a quick ultrasound is 100% foolproof.
