How often to wash hair with dandruff?

I've been struggling with dandruff for quite some time now, and no matter what shampoo I use, it keeps coming back. My friend said washing hair too often can make it worse. So, how often should I actually wash my hair when I have dandruff?

Dandruff, the uninvited party guest on your scalp! 😂 You definitely don't want to over-wash and dry out your scalp, that can make it worse. But not washing enough lets the flakes build up. Try 2-3 times a week with a good anti-dandruff shampoo, leaving it on for a few minutes. Find your sweet spot!

Haan, dandruff is so irritating na! My hair gets oily fast. I wash it every alternate day with anti-dandruff shampoo, aur haan, leave it for 2-3 mins. Then once it settles, I do it twice a week. Thoda conditioner only on ends helps too.

Yaar, dandruff is such a pain. Actually, too much washing can dry out your scalp, making it worse. But not enough, and it builds up. I'd say try every other day, or 3 times a week with a medicated shampoo. See what works for your scalp, boss.

Don't ignore persistent dandruff, please. I once thought it was just minor and it became a bigger scalp issue. For washing, start with an anti-dandruff shampoo 2-3 times a week, leave it on for a bit. If it doesn't get better in a few weeks, seriously, go see a dermatologist. Don't wait like I did.

With dandruff, it's like a balancing act, bro. Wash too often, hair gets dry. Not enough, scalp gets oily and flakes. I do it like every alternate day with an anti-dandruff one, or twice a week. Seems to keep it chill for me.

I'm always so confused about this! If I wash it everyday, I feel like my scalp gets even drier and itchier, but if I wait too long, it feels so oily. Does anyone else struggle to find the right balance? What's too much and what's too little?

For dandruff, the ideal frequency depends on the type of dandruff and your scalp's oiliness. A good dermatologist at a reputed hospital would recommend a specific anti-dandruff shampoo and tell you if it's 2-3 times a week or more. Always get proper medical advice for persistent issues.
