How often should you fast for weight loss?

My cousin swears by intermittent fasting for weight loss and has lost a lot. I'm keen to try it but don't want to overdo it or do it incorrectly. How often should someone fast to see weight loss results without harming their health?

Fasting can be quite effective, but it's not a one-size-fits-all! 😊 Some people do 16:8 daily, others prefer longer fasts once or twice a week. What works best totally depends on your body and lifestyle. Maybe try different types and see what feels right for you, but definitely read up first! ✨

For someone with thyroid issues like me, fasting needs to be approached very carefully. It can sometimes impact hormone levels. If you have any underlying health conditions, it's super important to talk to your doctor and get regular check-ups before starting any fasting regimen for weight loss.

I've tried intermittent fasting for weight loss and found 16:8 (16 hours fasting, 8 hours eating window) most sustainable. I do it most days of the week, but if I feel low energy, I don't force it. Longer fasts like 24 hours I'd only do maybe once a month. Listen to your body, that's key.

Oh, please be careful with fasting! I once pushed myself too hard with a restrictive diet and ended up feeling so weak and dizzy. Ended up in the doctor's office. Don't ignore any bad symptoms you feel. Always, always get a proper medical opinion before you try intense fasting.

Gaon mein toh log pehle se hi fasting karte hain, festivals pe aur sab. Par weight loss ke liye, thoda dhyan se karna chahiye. Jo tumhare sharir ko suit kare, wahi karo. Zyaada zor mat daalna, theek hai? Aaram se karna.
