How often should i take body measurements for weight loss?

I'm on a weight loss journey and tracking my progress is important to keep me motivated. My trainer said to take measurements, but I'm not sure how often is ideal to see real changes. Should it be weekly or monthly?

Oh, this is such a good question! Weighing scales can be so deceiving with water retention and all. I found that taking measurements once a month, maybe on the first day of each month, is really motivating. It helps you see real changes in inches, not just kgs. Plus, it gives enough time for actual progress to show. Don't do it too often, it can get discouraging!

Beta, weighing yourself daily can be discouraging sometimes. Measurements like waist, hips, arms, once a month, are usually good to see true progress. The body changes slowly, like a plant growing. Don't rush it. And remember, sometimes just feeling better and being more active is a bigger win than numbers. Home cooked meals are best too.

From a practical point of view, once a month is ideal for body measurements. Daily or weekly can be frustrating because changes are slow, and you might get demotivated. Pick a fixed day, measure your waist, hips, and thighs, and track it in a simple notebook. It's a much more realistic way to see progress than just the weighing scale, which fluctuates a lot.

With PCOS, weight loss can be a slow and often frustrating process, so relying solely on the scale isn't always helpful. Taking body measurements, like your waist and hip circumference, once a month can be a much better indicator of progress. It shows fat loss even if the scale doesn't budge much. Just be patient and consistent, and don't over-measure, it can cause unnecessary stress.

I totally panicked earlier when my weight wasn't dropping fast, but my trainer told me to focus on measurements. Measuring once a month is perfect. You'll see actual changes in inches, even if the scale is being stubborn. It’s a much more positive way to track progress and less obsessive than daily weighing. Don't worry, consistency will show results!
