How often are pregnancy appointments?

My cousin just found out she's pregnant and she's asking about doctor visits. We're both first-time moms-to-be in our families, so we're not sure. How often are pregnancy appointments usually scheduled throughout the nine months?

Beta, earlier we just saw the dai-ma and that was enough! But now, these doctors want to see you very often. In the beginning, maybe once a month, then later, more often. Just follow what your gynaecologist says, they know best for these modern times. And remember to eat well, lots of ghar ka ghee!

Oh, pregnancy appointments! Get ready to spend a lot of time in waiting rooms, haha! Seriously though, it starts off monthly, then every two weeks, and then practically every week towards the end. It's a lot, but totally worth it for the little one, even if I'm already tired just thinking about it!

Frequency of appointments definitely increases as pregnancy progresses. While you're going for check-ups, remember that maintaining a moderate fitness routine (doctor-approved, of course) and a balanced diet will make a huge difference in how you feel and your overall pregnancy journey. Stay active!

Usually, it's once a month for the first two trimesters, then it becomes more frequent, like every two weeks, and then weekly closer to delivery. Make sure to schedule them in advance, especially if you have a busy work schedule. And always have a list of questions ready for your doctor.

Initially, it is usually once a month, but closer to the birth, the visits become more frequent, sometimes weekly. While these medical check-ups are essential, don't forget to connect with your body and baby through gentle prenatal yoga and meditation. It helps to keep you calm and centered throughout the journey.
