How much weight gain 1st trimester?

I'm in my first trimester and experiencing a lot of morning sickness, so I'm barely eating. My mother says I should be gaining weight, but I feel like I'm losing it. How much weight gain is expected during the first trimester?

In the first trimester, usually, the gain isn't much, maybe 1-2 kg or even none if you had morning sickness. My wife used a pregnancy tracker app, and it said this was normal. The real gain starts in the second and third trimesters. Just keep an eye on what your doctor says.

Honestly, during the first trimester, I barely gained anything 'coz of all the nausea. Some people even lose a little! So like, don't worry if it's not much, it's totally normal. My friends also said the same thing.

Oh, I totally panicked during my first trimester! I think I gained barely 1 kg, and I was so worried. But my doctor said it's completely normal, some women even lose weight due to morning sickness. The major gain usually starts from the second trimester. So don't stress if the numbers aren't much now.

In the first trimester, the weight gain is usually very little, sometimes even a slight loss if morning sickness is bad. Focus on eating nourishing, light home-cooked meals. Ginger tea for nausea can help. But if you're very concerned or have severe symptoms, always see your doctor, beta.

Yes, it's generally minimal in the first trimester, maybe 1-2 kgs. Doctor's advice is always best here.

Haha, for me it depended on the cravings! But honestly, in the first trimester, many don't gain much, or even lose a bit due to nausea. So if you're only up by a kilo or two, ya it's normal. Just try to enjoy the food you can keep down!

It's totally understandable to feel anxious about weight gain during pregnancy, especially in the first trimester when things are so new. For many, it's quite minimal, sometimes just 1-2 kg, or even a slight loss due to morning sickness. Please know that your feelings are valid, and your doctor is the best person to reassure you.
