How much niacin will damage your liver?

I've been taking a niacin supplement for cholesterol, but I heard that too much can be bad for your liver. I'm concerned. How much niacin will actually damage your liver?

I was taking 2000 mg of slow-release niacin daily and my liver enzymes shot up like crazy. My doctor immediately stopped it and it took me two months to recover. Don't go over 500 mg without strict medical supervision.

For my blood pressure and cholesterol, my doctor told me that doses above 1000 mg to 2000 mg can be toxic to the liver. Always get regular LFT blood tests done if you are taking therapeutic niacin.

Haan, extra vitamins lene se liver pe load padta hai, especially above 1000 mg. Bina doctor ko dikhaye ye high-dose supplements mat shuru karo, body ke liye safe nahi hai na.

I totally get it, you want to take supplements to stay healthy but are scared of side effects. Generally, doses above 2 to 3 grams a day are highly linked to liver damage. Please talk to a doctor to find a safe daily limit.

My health app shows the daily recommended allowance for Niacin (B3) is just 16 mg for men. Doses above 1000 mg are therapeutic and carry real hepatotoxicity risks. Keep your app logs clean and consult a clinical nutritionist.

Niacin toxicity can cause serious liver damage, jaundice, and abdominal pain. If you are taking high doses and notice any yellowing of eyes or dark urine, please go to a doctor immediately for a liver function test.
