Oh god, I always worry about kidney stones too because my uncle had them and the pain was terrible. People say half a cup of pure lemon juice diluted in water daily helps, but please make sure you don't ruin your stomach lining or teeth with too much acid.

I totally understand how scary the thought of kidney stones can be, I used to panic over every little back pain. Drinking the juice of two fresh lemons in water throughout the day is a common tip, but drinking plenty of plain water is the most important part.

Look, don't overcomplicate it. Just squeeze one or two lemons in a big bottle of water every day and keep drinking. But remember, this won't help if you don't drink at least 3 liters of total water. Skip the heavy salt in your food too.

I had a 5mm stone last year. My urologist told me to consume about 4 tablespoons of lemon juice mixed in water daily because citrate helps prevent calcium stones. It works, but you must also cut down on spinach and tomatoes.

A daily glass of unsalted lemon water is excellent, but please check your overall lifestyle too. High blood pressure and poor kidney health often go together. Keep checking your BP and get your kidney function tests done once a year.

In my years of reading health queries, I've seen that about 60ml of fresh lemon juice diluted in water is a standard recommendation for stone prevention. However, if you already have a pre-existing stone, you need a doctor's scan, not just home remedies.

Hey, chill! Just squeeze a lemon into your water bottle that you take to work. It tastes fresh and keeps those painful stones away. Don't stress too much about the exact ml or measurements, just keep sipping and stay hydrated!

I used to drink lemon water three times a day because I was terrified of getting stones after a minor backache. My doctor smiled and told me to relax; just one normal glass of nimbu paani a day is plenty. Don't stress yourself out over it!

Has anyone else felt a bit of tooth sensitivity after drinking a lot of lemon water for stones? I want to protect my kidneys but I'm worried about my teeth enamel. How do you guys manage this balance daily?

Bro, my doctor told me to just squeeze half a lemon in a glass of water twice a day. The citrate in it stops stones from forming. But honestly, the real key is just drinking 3-4 bottles of normal water daily to stay hydrated.

I was researching this and read that around 4 ounces (about 120 ml) of lemon juice per day mixed with water is what clinical studies suggest for stone prevention. It's interesting how a simple dietary change can help so much, but I guess water intake is still the main factor.

No need to buy expensive syrups. Just make a habit of having one fresh nimbu paani daily, but without too much sugar or salt. It's a cheap, easy way to keep your kidneys flushed. Also, reduce the amount of spicy pickles you eat.

While lemon juice contains citrate which is clinically proven to inhibit stone formation, the required amount depends on the type of stone you are prone to. It's highly recommended to consult a urologist and get a 24-hour urine test done for proper advice.

Beta, having a glass of fresh lime water every morning is a very old and healthy practice. But if there is sharp pain in your back or sides, do not rely on lemon juice alone. Go see a proper doctor immediately to check the kidneys.

Drinking the juice of one lemon a day is a wonderful dietary habit for calcium stones. However, remember to also limit high-oxalate vegetarian foods like spinach, nuts, and soy if you are highly prone to stones. Balanced nutrition is key.
