How much hair loss is normal when brushing hair?

I've been noticing more hair strands in my brush recently, and it's making me a bit anxious. I know some hair fall is natural, but I'm trying to figure out if what I'm seeing is within normal limits. Can someone tell me how much hair loss is normal when brushing hair?

When you brush, you're essentially clearing out hair that has already detached from the follicle throughout the day. So seeing a small handful is expected. A healthy lifestyle, including regular moderate exercise, definitely supports overall hair vitality.

For me, excessive hair on the brush was one of the first signs of my thyroid issue. So, while some shedding is normal, if it feels like a lot more than usual, especially consistently, please get your thyroid levels checked. Always follow your doctor's recommendations.

Heeey! 🥰 It's super normal to see some hair in your brush! Brushing just helps remove the hair that's already shed. If you're not brushing regularly, it might look like more. But if it's a scary amount, maybe a quick chat with a doc. ✨

This is one of my biggest anxieties! I always stare at my brush. They say seeing around 20-30 strands when brushing is fine, especially if you haven't brushed for hours. If it's a huge clump and it's making you worry like crazy, just consult a dermatologist for peace of mind.

Ho na, brushing karte time toh thode baal nikalte hi hain. Jo already loose ho gaye hain, wohi aate hain brush mein. Don't worry too much if it's just a few strands. But if it's like a big bunch every time, then maybe thoda concern kar sakte ho.

It's quite normal to shed some hair during brushing, as these are typically hairs that have already completed their growth cycle. The average can be anywhere from 10-50 strands, depending on hair length and brushing frequency. However, if you feel it's excessive or see thinning, a doctor's advice is always best.
