How much hair loss is normal?

My wife keeps telling me I'm losing too much hair, but I think it's just normal shedding. What's the general benchmark for how much hair loss is considered normal in a day?

Oh god, I've spent so much time worrying about this! They say 50-100 strands are normal, but sometimes it feels like so much more. Try not to obsess over every hair, but if you notice a real change in volume or new patches, please consult a doctor. Don't self-diagnose like I did!

It can be really confusing because 'normal' varies. For me, with PCOS, my hair fall fluctuates, so I have to monitor it closely. If you have any underlying conditions, it's always better to discuss with your doctor rather than just relying on general numbers.

My daughter went through a phase where she was losing a lot of hair. We were told 50-100 is normal for adults, maybe a bit less for kids. The key is if it's new and continuous. We focused on a balanced diet and reduced stress. Consult a doc if you're really worried.

I really get how unsettling it can be to see hair falling out. I used to cry seeing my comb. While 50-100 strands are said to be normal, if it's impacting your mental peace, it's important to talk to a dermatologist. Your feelings are valid.

Young people worry too much about these things. Hair fall is part of life, like leaves falling from a tree. If you're healthy, eating well, and not stressed, your body will take care of itself. Up to a hundred hairs a day is nothing to worry about usually.

Normal hair loss is when your drain doesn't look like a furry monster after every shower. 😂 Seriously though, up to 100-150 on wash days is usually fine. If you can make a wig from your daily shedding, then maybe it's time to visit the doc.

Honestly, at this point, any hair still on my head feels like a win. They say 50-100 is normal, but after late nights and stress, I swear I lose double that. I just try to sleep more and hope for the best!
