How much hair fall is normal per day?

Every time I comb my hair, there's quite a bit coming out. My mother says it's normal, but I'm not so sure. How much hair fall is considered normal per day for a woman?

Haan, this is a common question! Generally, 50 to 100 strands are considered normal. Agar usse bohot zyada ho, then maybe thoda dhyaan dena chahiye. But it also depends on how much you wash your hair and all na.

My parlor didi told me around 100 is okay, especially on wash days. What I do is, I collect the hair from the drain and brush, and if it feels like a big ball every day, then I start worrying. Else, chalta hai.

Honestly, the exact number varies person to person. Focus on good protein intake and staying hydrated, that helps a lot with hair health overall. Stress can also be a big factor. Try managing that.

Mere toh din mein 100 nikalte hain aur main raat mein phir bhi takla nahin hota. So I guess it's normal! 😂 Unless you're seeing more hair on your pillow than on your head, don't sweat it too much.

Beta, earlier no one counted strands. If your hair feels thinner or there are visible patches, then it is a concern. Otherwise, a little hair fall is natural cycle. Try oiling with amla and bhringraj, that helps keep scalp healthy.

See, it's normal for hair to shed and regrow. If you're feeling worried, maybe check your diet for any deficiencies. Sometimes, just changing shampoo or conditioning routine helps. Don't stress too much over numbers.

I totally understand why you'd ask this. I used to count too, and it really messed with my head. For most people, up to 100-150 is within normal range, especially after washing. If it's more than that consistently, then it's worth looking into.
