How much dha during pregnancy?

I'm in my second trimester, and my doctor recommended taking DHA supplements. I'm not sure about the dosage, so how much DHA is typically recommended during pregnancy?

Since I am a pure vegetarian, getting DHA naturally was a concern during my pregnancy. Usually, doctors recommend around 200 mg of DHA daily. Please ask your gynecologist to prescribe a suitable vegetarian supplement rather than self-prescribing.

During my pregnancy, my doctor prescribed a prenatal with 200 mg of DHA for the baby's brain development. Along with proper nutrition, keep your mind calm and happy, as it really affects the baby's growth. Take care of yourself.

I completely understand how overwhelming all these supplement guidelines can feel when you are pregnant. My doctor put me on 200 mg DHA, but I spent days crying and worrying if it was enough. Just trust your doctor, they know your reports best.

Totally agree with the others. Standard recommendation is around 200 mg, but always check with your doctor first.

I was just researching this for my sister who is expecting. Most international guidelines suggest at least 200 mg of DHA daily for the baby's brain and eye development. It seems really crucial during the third trimester especially.
