How much daytime sleep for 8 month old?

My 8-month-old baby is so curious and busy during the day! I'm struggling a bit with her nap schedule. How much daytime sleep should an 8-month-old typically get to ensure they are well-rested?

Haan, 8 months mein toh baby ka routine set ho jata hai na. They usually need around 2 to 2.5 hours of day sleep now, mostly in two proper naps. Zyada lamba mat sone dena din mein, nahi toh raat ko tang karenge.

Usually, 2 hours of afternoon rest is enough for an 8-month-old. Try massaging their feet with warm mustard oil before naptime to help them relax naturally. But if the baby is sleeping excessively or feels too warm to touch, please see a doctor immediately.

I used to feel so anxious when my 8-month-old slept for only 1 hour during the day while other moms talked about 3-hour naps. It is exhausting and makes you feel like you are failing. Just know that as long as your baby is growing well, their sleep pattern is perfectly fine.

Actually yaar, around 2 to 3 hours max is what they need during the day at 8 months. My daughter was on two naps of 1 hour each, which was perfect. If they sleep more than that, their night sleep gets totally disturbed.

In our times, we never counted the hours on a clock. A healthy 8-month-old baby will easily sleep for 2 hours during the afternoon when their stomach is full. Don't worry so much about strict measurements, go by your motherly instinct.

While 2 to 3 hours is the standard daytime sleep for an 8-month-old, any sudden and drastic change in their sleeping behavior should not be ignored. If they are sleeping much more than usual or seem very drowsy, get it checked by your pediatrician just to be absolutely safe.

For an 8-month-old baby, 2 to 2.5 hours of daytime sleep divided into a morning and an afternoon nap is ideal. Keep a gap of at least 4 hours between their last nap and bedtime. This simple trick has helped so many mothers in our group.
