How much biotin for hair loss?

My hair has been thinning a lot recently, and I'm really worried. A friend suggested biotin, but I don't know how much I should take for hair loss. What's a good dose?

I am losing so much hair every time I comb, it is making me so stressed. Everyone online is saying to take 5000mcg or even 10000mcg of biotin, but isn't that too high? Did anyone else face terrible acne breakouts after starting biotin? I am really scared to try it.

Honestly, don't blindly waste money on expensive biotin gummies first. A basic blood test for vitamin D3, B12, and iron costs around 1000 rupees and usually reveals the real reason for hair fall. It's much cheaper in the long run to fix the actual deficiency rather than buying random supplements every month.

I had severe hair thinning last year and went to a dermatologist at Kokilaben Hospital. He clearly told me that high-dose biotin only works if you actually have a biotin deficiency, which is very rare. He prescribed a specific multi-vitamin after checking my blood reports, so please consult a proper doctor first.

Please be very careful with biotin if you have thyroid issues! High biotin doses can seriously interfere with your thyroid blood test results, making them look normal when they are not. Always stop biotin at least 3-5 days before getting your lab tests done, and always keep your doctor in the loop.

According to most health trackers and clinical guidelines, the daily adequate intake of biotin is just 30 micrograms, which we easily get from eggs, nuts, and whole grains. Taking mega doses like 10,000 mcg might just result in expensive urine since biotin is water-soluble. Better to track your food intake first!

Biotin is definitely popular, but scientifically speaking, clinical evidence for its role in treating hair loss in healthy individuals is quite limited. The standard recommendation is to address any underlying nutritional deficiencies or hormonal imbalances first. A qualified dermatologist is your best guide for this.

I know how heartbreaking it is to watch your hair fall out every day, it literally used to ruin my entire morning mood. But please don't panic and start swallowing random high-dose biotin tablets. Most of the times, simple stress management and a basic diet change work wonders. Take a deep breath.

Honestly, the standard daily requirement is just 30 mcg. Do not take high doses without consulting a dermatologist first.

Since I manage my high blood pressure, I am very careful about what pills I take. Hair loss can be due to stress, poor sleep, or even blood circulation issues. It is always better to get a full body checkup and discuss with your physician before adding any extra biotin to your daily routine.

Excuse me, I am actually very new to these supplements and my hair has started falling out a lot recently. Is biotin really safe to take without asking a doctor? Also, does it cause any stomach pain or weight gain? If anyone could help me, it would mean a lot.
