How much alcohol causes liver failure?

A relative of mine recently passed away due to liver failure, and it was alcohol-related. It's a scary thought. I'd like to know how much alcohol can cause liver failure.

Chronic heavy drinking over many years is what usually leads to liver failure, and if you have diabetes, the risk is even higher. I had to completely cut down my consumption because sugar and alcohol together are a double blow to our organs.

I totally get it, reading about things like liver failure can be extremely scary and stressful. While it generally takes years of heavy drinking, every individual's tolerance level is different, so please don't hesitate to seek professional advice if you are worried.

It usually takes long-term, heavy daily drinking to cause actual liver failure, but even moderate drinking can cause damage.

My close friend recently had a severe liver scare due to daily alcohol abuse. The doctors at the hospital told us that consistently drinking high amounts of hard liquor without breaks is what triggers sudden liver failure, so please stop before it is too late.

When my father was admitted to Apollo last year, the head hepatologist told us that liver failure limits depend entirely on genetics and preexisting conditions. You must ask a qualified doctor to evaluate your specific health status.
