How many pounds do you gain during pregnancy?

I'm pregnant with my first child, about 4 months along. Everyone tells me I'll gain a lot of weight. Is there a typical range for how many pounds one usually gains during pregnancy? Just trying to set realistic expectations.

The recommended weight gain for a healthy pregnancy generally falls between 25-35 pounds (11-16 kg) for women with a normal BMI. It varies significantly based on individual factors like starting weight and whether it's a multiple pregnancy. Your gynecologist will give you personalized guidance.

It varies a lot per individual, but generally, 25-35 pounds is the guideline for a healthy pregnancy. The key is to monitor it with your doctor and focus on nutrient-dense food rather than just 'eating for two'. Schedule regular check-ups to stay on track.

During pregnancy, healthy weight gain is essential for the baby's growth. The range is typically 25-35 pounds for most women with a healthy pre-pregnancy weight. It's not just fat, but also the baby, placenta, amniotic fluid, and increased blood volume. Always follow your doctor's advice on this.

Oh, enough to make you feel like a watermelon by the end, haha! But seriously, it's important for the baby. Most doctors say around 25-35 pounds is healthy, depending on your starting weight. Just remember, it's all part of the process, and you'll get back to normal eventually!

My wife gained about 13-14 kgs (around 30 pounds) during her pregnancy. It's normal to gain weight, and it's not all fat; a lot of it is baby and other fluids. Just eat healthy, walk a bit if your doctor says so, and don't worry too much about comparing yourself to others.

My sister gained around 14 kgs, which is like 30 pounds, during her pregnancy. Doc said it was totally normal and healthy for her. It's not just about fat, a lot of it is the baby and everything else. Just listen to your doctor, they know best.
