How many hours sleep should a teenager have?

My son is 15 and spends a lot of time on his phone, then struggles to wake up for school. His teachers have mentioned he looks tired. What is the recommended sleep duration for teenagers?

For teenagers, growth and studies require a lot of energy, so good sleep is very important. My cousin's doctor always emphasized 8-10 hours. It helps with their concentration and mood, not just physical health. But of course, every individual is different, so discuss with a doctor if there are concerns.

For teenagers, it's usually recommended to get 8-10 hours of sleep per night. Their bodies and brains are still developing so much, and lack of sleep can seriously affect their mood, concentration, and even physical health. As an elder brother, I always tell my younger siblings to make sure they get enough rest, no matter what.

Teenagers? Sleep? What's that? Haha! My son thinks he can survive on 5 hours and still ace his exams. But I tell him, you'll pay for it later! Ideally, they should get 8-10 hours. We try to enforce a screen-off rule by 10 PM. It's a daily battle, but worth it for their health, I hope!

I was just looking this up for my younger brother. It seems like 8-10 hours is the standard recommendation. It's tough for them though, with so much homework and social media. I guess it's about finding that balance and making sure they understand why it's important for them to get enough sleep.

I remember as a teenager, I felt so much pressure to stay up late, feeling like I was missing out. It led to a lot of emotional ups and downs. If you're a teen reading this, please know that prioritizing your sleep (8-10 hours) is not lame, it's self-care. It makes a huge difference to your mental well-being.

I totally get why this is a tough one! Teenagers are often pushing their limits with school, friends, and late-night screen time. But truly, 8-10 hours is ideal for them. It impacts their brain development, mood, and even immunity. It's a challenging balance, but so important to encourage good sleep habits.
