How many hours should a 6 month old sleep?

My baby is 6 months old now and sometimes he sleeps a lot, sometimes very little. My mother-in-law says he sleeps too much, but I feel he's still small. How many hours should a 6-month-old actually be sleeping in a day?

Haan, 6-month-old baby ko toh bahut neend chahiye! Usually, it's around 12-16 hours in a 24-hour cycle, including their daytime naps. My niece is 6 months, and she sleeps a lot. Just make sure they are fed well and comfy, na. Rest, they will sleep.

For a 6-month-old, adequate sleep is so important for their development! They generally need 12-16 hours total, including naps. Also, pay attention to their diet if they've started solids. Gentle, easily digestible foods can aid better sleep. Avoid anything heavy or sugary before bed.

My friend's baby is 6 months, and she sleeps a lot, man. Like 14-15 hours, including naps. I think that's normal for that age. They're growing so fast, they need that rest. Just keep them well-fed and comfortable.

A 6-month-old? Oh, they're like tiny sleep machines! My aunt's baby is that age, and she sleeps about 14-16 hours a day, including her naps. That's what they say is normal for babies, right? It's all about growth and development for them.

Usually, 6-month-olds need 12-16 hours of sleep in a 24-hour period. But if your baby is sleeping significantly more or less, or seems unusually fussy or tired, please don't just ignore it like I once did with a minor issue. It's always best to get a quick check-up with the pediatrician to rule out anything serious. Peace of mind is important.

A 6-month-old needs plenty of sleep for proper growth, usually 12-16 hours a day, with naps. Try gentle massages or a quiet song before putting them to sleep. If the baby is excessively sleepy, not eating well, or seems unwell, please consult your doctor immediately. Home remedies are for small things only.

It's so easy to feel anxious about your baby's sleep, I totally understand! For a 6-month-old, the general recommendation is around 12 to 16 hours over a 24-hour period, counting naps. Just remember that every baby is unique, and if your baby is happy and thriving, you're likely doing everything right. Don't stress too much.
