How many hours should a 2 month old sleep?

My 2-month-old has been quite sleepy lately, and I'm a first-time mom, so I'm a bit concerned. What's the normal sleep duration for a 2-month-old baby?

My second baby is now 3 months, so I just went through this! A 2-month-old typically sleeps 14-17 hours in a 24-hour cycle. Don't expect long stretches at night yet, but they might give you 3-4 hours here and there. Keep feeding them well and follow a simple routine.

At 2 months, a baby's main 'activity' is growing and developing, and sleep fuels that! They need 14-17 hours. Think of it as their intense recovery period. Good nutrition for the mother (if breastfeeding) or a good formula helps them stay full and sleep better.

My son was a 2-month-old just last year! They sleep a lot, like 14-17 hours a day. The key is just making sure they are fed well and have a comfortable place to sleep. A swaddle helped my son sleep better. Don't worry too much about a fixed schedule; it will come later.

For a 2-month-old, 14-17 hours of sleep is non-negotiable. It's when their brain develops fastest. Don't try to force a schedule; just respond to their cues. Feed them, burp them, put them down to sleep. Repeat.

A 2-month-old requires a lot of sleep, around 14-17 hours daily, usually broken into several naps and longer stretches at night. Ensuring they get sufficient milk (breast milk or formula) is crucial for their growth and helps them sleep soundly between feeds. Avoid overfeeding or underfeeding.

A 2-month-old should get 14-17 hours of sleep. However, if your baby is unusually irritable, crying excessively, or sleeping much less/more than this range, please see a pediatrician. My nephew had a hidden infection at this age, and his changed sleep pattern was an early sign.

As a healthcare professional, I can tell you that a 2-month-old needs about 14-17 hours of sleep in a 24-hour cycle. This is usually broken into multiple naps and some longer stretches at night. Focus on safe sleep practices and ensuring they're well-fed. Consult your pediatrician for any specific concerns.

For a 2-month-old, they mostly eat and sleep! Around 14-17 hours of sleep is needed. A simple, dark room and a full tummy often do the trick. No need for expensive gadgets, just regular feeds and a quiet place to rest.

I totally get how overwhelming newborn sleep can be! For a 2-month-old, 14-17 hours of sleep in 24 hours is considered normal. But remember, it's fragmented. Give yourself grace, and know that you're doing your best!

My 2-month-old sleeps for like 15 hours total but keeps waking up every 2-3 hours. I get so worried she's not getting good quality sleep. Is it normal for them to wake up so often at this age, even if the total hours are good? Anyone else experienced this?
