How many hours of sleep is necessary?

My work schedule is quite hectic, I barely get 5-6 hours of sleep on weekdays. Is that enough, ya phir I actually need more to stay healthy? What's the minimum necessary?

From my yoga practice, I've learned that quality over quantity is key. When I do my pranayama before bed, even 6-7 hours feel deeply restorative. It's about calming the mind, not just resting the body.

Honestly, I struggled with this a lot in my 30s. The 'necessary' part is what matters. For most adults, 7-8 hours is the target. But set a fixed bedtime and wake-up time, even on weekends. That made the biggest difference for me.

The body is a temple, so nurturing it with proper rest is important. I believe peace of mind also contributes to good sleep. Aim for 7-8 hours, but more importantly, keep your thoughts calm and positive before bed. Take care of yourself.

I used to beat myself up for not getting enough sleep, making me more stressed. It's okay if you have a busy period and can't get the ideal hours. Just try to catch up when you can, and don't let it become a source of anxiety like it did for me.

Bhai, as a student, 6 hours is usually what I get. On weekends, 8-9. But honestly, if you're feeling good and productive during the day, it's fine. Don't overthink it too much, just listen to your body.
