How many hours does a 4 month old sleep?

My 4-month-old is starting to have very erratic sleep. One day she sleeps a lot, the next she's wide awake. Is there a normal range for how many hours a 4-month-old should sleep in a 24-hour cycle?

4 mahine ka bachcha din mein bahut sota hai, total 12 se 15 ghante. Lekin woh ek saath nahi sota, chote chote jhapkiyan leta hai aur raat ko bhi uthta hai doodh peene ke liye. Maa baap ko bhi rest lena chahiye jab bachcha soye.

A 4-month-old infant typically needs around 12 to 15 hours of sleep in a 24-hour period. This includes nighttime sleep and a few naps during the day. However, every baby is unique. If you have concerns about your baby's sleep patterns, it's best to discuss them clearly with your pediatrician at a good hospital.

My neighbour's 4-month-old sleeps for about 14 hours total. She gives him two long naps during the day and he sleeps longer stretches at night, maybe 6-7 hours straight sometimes. A consistent bedtime routine really helps, like a warm bath and gentle lullabies before bed.

A 4-month-old should be getting roughly 12-15 hours of sleep in a 24-hour cycle. This usually means longer night sleeps, maybe 6-8 hours, and 2-3 naps during the day. It's a critical period for development.

At 4 months, babies usually sleep between 12 and 15 hours total per day, including their naps. The nighttime sleep typically consolidates into longer stretches by this age. However, individual variations are common. For any specific concerns or significant deviations, consulting a pediatrician is always the most advisable step.

My daughter at 4 months was sleeping about 13-14 hours. She would do a 5-6 hour stretch at night and then a couple of naps during the day. It felt like a lot, but I was told it was normal. Every baby is different, so don't compare too much!

I really struggled emotionally with my baby's sleep at 4 months, trying to figure out if it was enough. They say 12-15 hours, but sometimes it felt impossible to achieve. Just remember every baby is different, and focus on establishing a comforting routine. You're doing great, mama!

Oh, my younger cousin is 4 months, and his mom says he sleeps a lot! Like 14-15 hours a day, but broken into night sleep and then short naps. They're still figuring out a proper schedule, it seems.

My friend's baby is 4 months old, and she told me her little one sleeps around 14 hours total, but it's broken up. A good night's sleep for the baby can be 6-8 hours at this age, plus a few naps. She found having a dark room and white noise really helped.

Oh, this is definitely something I would overthink as a parent! The general guideline for a 4-month-old is 12-15 hours of sleep within a 24-hour cycle. This usually includes longer stretches at night and 2-3 naps during the day. Consistency with bedtime routines can really make a difference, but always check with your pediatrician if you have specific worries.

It's so easy to worry about your baby's sleep patterns at that age! I remember being so anxious. A 4-month-old typically sleeps 12-15 hours in a day, including naps. But it's also about the quality of sleep and if they are active and feeding well when awake. Trust your instincts and check with the doc if you're truly concerned.
