How many days should wait to take a pregnancy test?

My period is a bit irregular sometimes, but I'm quite sure it's late this month. I don't want to waste a test by taking it too early. How many days should I ideally wait after a suspected missed period to take a pregnancy test for the best accuracy?

Because of my PCOS, my periods are always delayed, so waiting is really tough. I suggest waiting at least 14 days after your suspected ovulation, or ideally a week after your missed period. It's better to wait a bit longer than to deal with the anxiety of a confusing faint line.

Beta, jaldi baji mat karo. Kam se kam tareek nikalne ke chaar-paanch din baad hi janch karni chahiye. Usse pehle dhang se pata nahi chalta aur dushwari hoti hai. Sab thik hoga, thoda sabar rakho.

If you test too early, you'll end up holding the strip under five different lights trying to manifest a second line! Save your money and wait at least 3 to 4 days after your period is missed. Patience is a virtue, especially when dealing with pregnancy kits.

Don't rely on random online forums telling you to test 5 days early. The standard medical recommendation is to wait until the first day of your missed period for a urine test, or get a beta-hCG blood test done at a lab for 100% accuracy under a doctor's advice.

I was just reading about this on a couple of medical blogs. They all say that waiting until the first day of your missed period is the most reliable timeline for home urine tests. Testing earlier than that might not give the hormone levels enough time to show up.

In our days, we didn't have these instant home kits, we just waited patiently for the second missed period before consulting the family doctor. My advice is to wait at least 5 to 7 days after your missed period. Don't worry so much, nature takes its own time.
