How many days late should i take a pregnancy test?

My period is a few days late now, and I'm starting to get anxious. I've heard you shouldn't test too early, so I'm wondering, how many days late should I ideally wait before taking a pregnancy test for accurate results?

I totally get it, waiting to test is so stressful and every day feels like a year. Honestly, waiting just 1 or 2 days after your missed period will give you a much clearer result and save you from unnecessary anxiety.

It is best to wait about 4 to 5 days after your missed period for a reliable result. Since stress can also delay periods and spike your blood pressure, try to keep calm, check your vitals, and consult a doctor if the delay continues.

Waiting for at least 1 day after your period is missed is best! 🌸 Just grab a home kit, use the morning urine, and hopefully you'll get the good news soon!

Don't test before your missed period, it's a waste of money and time. Wait at least 1 or 2 days after your due date for an accurate urine test. If you are really impatient, go get a beta-hCG blood test done at a clinic.

Usually, 3 to 5 days late is a safe bet to test. Sometimes intense workouts or sudden weight changes can delay periods, so keep up with light walking and let your body settle before testing.

In our days, we didn't have these instant kits and used to wait for a week or two to be absolutely sure. Waiting at least 5 days late now will save you from confusion and give a very clear positive if it is meant to be.
