How many days after sex can you test for pregnancy?

My husband and I had unprotected sex a few days ago, and I'm worried about an unplanned pregnancy. I want to take a test soon. How many days after sex can you test for pregnancy to get an accurate result? I'm quite anxious right now.

Testing very early will only show negative and make you worry, ho na. At least wait for 14 to 21 days after sex. That is when the hormone levels are high enough to be detected easily.

I know how anxious you must be feeling right now. Please don't try any traditional things like testing with salt or sugar, they don't work. Just wait for 14 to 15 days and use a standard urine test kit from the pharmacy.

It takes about 14 to 21 days for the body to show changes. Sip some warm ginger tea to keep your mind calm during this waiting period. If you feel any sudden, severe pelvic pain, skip the home kits and go see a doctor immediately.

Give it 14 to 21 days for an accurate result. Keep your diet healthy and light during this stressful waiting period, as bad digestion can make you feel bloated and mimic pregnancy symptoms. Drink lots of water.

Hey, don't stress too much about this. Just wait for about 14 days and then do a home test. If you do it before that, the results won't be clear anyway. Grab some coffee and relax for now!

My daughter was in the same dilemma a few months ago and was crying out of panic. I told her to wait for 15 days because testing before that is of no use. Be patient, dear, wait for two weeks and then check.

The standard timeline is 14 days for a home test, but for absolute safety and accuracy, wait 21 days. If you missed your period and the home tests are confusing, go to a lab for a beta hCG blood test to be 100% sure.
