How many days after ovulation can you take pregnancy test?

My husband and I are tracking my ovulation to increase our chances of conceiving. We had intercourse during my fertile window. How many days after ovulation can you take a pregnancy test and get an accurate result? I'm so eager to know!

Waiting is so hard, I know! But testing at 8 or 9 days post ovulation (DPO) will likely give a negative and make you spiral. Please try to hold off until 12 or 14 DPO for peace of mind.

In our days, we didn't have these instant kits and we just waited for the next cycle date. I suggest you wait at least 12 to 14 days after ovulation. Have patience, things happen in their own time.

The earliest you can try is 10 to 12 days after ovulation, but 14 days is ideal. At 14 DPO, the results are almost 99% accurate on home kits. Try not to stress yourself during this two-week wait.

The doctors at Fortis told my wife that testing before 14 days after ovulation isn't reliable. If you are undergoing fertility tracking, it is best to ask your specialist for a scheduled blood test instead.

I remember how we panicked and tested at 9 days post ovulation, got a negative, and felt devastated. But we tested again at 14 days and it was positive! It's completely normal for it to take time, so don't worry early on.

Try to wait for 12-14 days after ovulation! 😊 Testing too early might show a faint line that just leaves you guessing. Hang in there and stay positive! ✨
