How many days after intercourse can pregnancy be detected?

My period is due soon, and my husband and I had intercourse last week. I'm wondering how early I can test for pregnancy. How many days after intercourse can pregnancy reliably be detected with a home test?

I went through this exact confusion last month. I tested at 10 days and it was negative, but when I tested again at 15 days, it came out positive. So definitely wait at least 14 days for a clear answer.

Give it at least 14 to 21 days before testing, yaar. No point stressing and ruining your Sunday biryani plans. Relax, grab some good food, and let the hormone levels rise enough to show up on the strip.

Do not waste money on kits within the first week itself. Sperm can live inside for 5 days, and implantation takes more time. Best result always comes 14-17 days after intercourse, preferably after a missed period.

From what we tracked during our planning days, it takes about two to three weeks. Stressing about it can mess up your cycle and even your sugar levels, so stay calm. Keep eating healthy, avoid sugary sweets out of anxiety, and wait 15 days.

Look, biologically, testing before 14 days is mostly useless because the HCG hormone hasn't reached detectable levels yet. For a sure shot answer, wait 21 days from the date of intercourse. If it is still negative but your period is delayed, get a doctor's opinion.
