How many cavities are in the back of the body?

My younger brother asked me something about cavities in the back of the body, and I was a bit confused. Can someone explain this concept simply?

Honestly, the only cavity I can think of right now is the one in my brain from staying up till 3 AM. But biologically speaking, the back of your body mostly houses the spinal cavity, which is pretty much one long continuous canal for your nervous system. Don't stress too much about counting them unless you are preparing for some medical exam, bro.

When I had some severe back issues last year, I went to a specialist at Aster Medcity. They explained that the main one is the spinal cavity, which runs all along your back. If you are experiencing any pain or weird sensations there, please don't guess—just ask your doctor clearly during your next visit.

Look, it is simple. The main space in the back of the human body is the dorsal cavity, which includes the cranial cavity for your brain and the spinal cavity for the spinal cord. That's essentially it. No need to overcomplicate the anatomy unless you have a specific symptom you are worried about.

I completely understand why you might be looking this up; I used to get so anxious searching for random anatomical terms late at night. The main one in the back is just the spinal cavity, which holds your spinal cord. It is totally normal to feel curious or worried, but try to take a deep breath, you are likely absolutely fine.

From a fitness perspective, keeping your back healthy is more about strengthening the muscles around your spine rather than worrying about the internal spinal cavity itself. If you are feeling stiff or have minor back discomfort, doing some light daily walking or gentle stretching really helps. Just make sure to get your doctor's okay before starting any new exercise routine.

Yes, as others mentioned, it is just the spinal cavity running down the back. If you are having pain there, a physiotherapist can really help you out.
