How many calories to burn a week for weight loss?

Hi everyone! I've put on a bit of weight since my marriage and my clothes are getting tight. I'm trying to lose some kgs, and a friend suggested focusing on burning more calories. Can anyone tell me a realistic number of calories I should aim to burn in a week for effective weight loss?

Honestly, focusing just on burning calories can be misleading. It's more about creating a sustainable calorie deficit. I usually aim for a 500-calorie deficit daily through a mix of diet and exercise, which works out to about 3500 calories a week. But what you eat is SO important, even more than just burning.

Most apps will tell you that to lose 0.5-1 kg a week, you need to be in a deficit of about 3500-7000 calories per week. I use MyFitnessPal and my Apple Watch, and they give me good estimates based on my activity. Just log your food and exercise consistently, it really helps track the net calories.

Arey, kitna burn karna hai na, woh depends on your current weight, activity level and your goal. Usually, a 500-calorie daily deficit helps lose about 1 kg in two weeks, ho na? So that's roughly 3500 calories a week. But eat ghar ka khaana, that makes a big difference!

For me, I found that consistently burning around 300-400 extra calories a day through walking or light jogging helped. Combined with mindful eating, I saw good results. But this is just my personal experience, and I didn't follow any strict targets, just tried to be active every day.

Dekho bhai, har body alag hoti hai. What works for one person might not work for you. I once tried a random diet I found online and it messed up my energy levels. It's really best to consult a dietician or a doctor first to know what's right for YOUR body type and health condition.
