How many calories should i eat for weight loss?

My clothes are getting a bit tight, so I've decided to start a weight loss journey. I know I need to control my calories, but I'm unsure of the exact number. Roughly, how many calories should I eat daily to lose weight?

Honestly, calorie needs can be so different for everyone depending on age, activity, and even medical history. It's really best to talk to a dietitian or your doctor first before making big changes. Safety first, always!

Yaar, I feel you! Calorie counting can be such a headache. I tried it once, but then I'd just crave my favorite biryani even more. Maybe focusing on eating healthy, home-cooked food and smaller portions works better? At least for me it does, no strict counting.

Oh, same question! I've been googling this too, and it seems like everyone has a different number. Some say 1200, some say 1500, but it really just depends on your height and how much you exercise. It's so confusing to figure out!

From my own experience, I found that calculating my Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) online gave me a rough idea, and then I ate slightly less than that. But this was just for me, and I also made sure to exercise. It's a journey, take it slow!

My family always says for anything health-related, don't guess. Please consult a qualified nutritionist or a doctor from a good hospital. They can assess your specific body type and health conditions to give you an accurate, safe calorie target.

For weight loss, it's not just about calories, but also *what* kind of calories. As a vegetarian, I focus on plenty of fiber from veggies and dals, and good protein. That keeps me full and helps naturally cut down on extra snacking. Maybe try that first?
