I'm in my second trimester now and trying to understand my nutritional needs better. How many calories should I be eating each day during pregnancy to support my growing baby and maintain my energy levels?

Honestly, the calories thing is important, but also factor in all the supplements and tests. They can add up! Just make sure your food is nutritious, not just quantity. My dietician gave me a chart, maybe ask your doc for one too to avoid extra costs later on.

Oh, pregnancy and calories! My wife used to say she felt like a walking buffet. Jokes aside, most docs say you don't need to 'eat for two' in the first trimester. Thoda extra in second and third is fine, but focus on what you're eating. Good luck, you'll need it! Haha.

Haan na, it's confusing with all the advice! Generally, just a few hundred extra calories in the second and third trimesters. Not like double-doubling everything. Ask your gynaecologist, they usually have good diet charts or can refer you to a nutritionist. Stay well!

Definitely check with your doctor for personalized advice. Every pregnancy is different, so what works for one might not work for another. They can guide you best.

From what I've seen, it's not just about the number of calories, but the quality. Focus on nutrient-dense foods rather than just upping your intake with junk. Things like leafy greens, lean protein, and whole grains are key. A small extra snack can do the trick.
