How many calories per meal for weight loss?

My nutritionist advised me to spread out my calorie intake evenly across meals for weight loss. I'm trying to figure out how many calories each main meal (breakfast, lunch, dinner) should ideally have. Any suggestions?

I completely understand how exhausting and overwhelming it is to calculate calories every time you sit down to eat. Aiming for around 350 to 450 calories per meal is a very healthy and realistic approach. Please don't let these numbers steal the joy of eating; be gentle with yourself.

I am trying to plan my meals at 350 calories each, but I am really worried that I'll feel starving by evening. Does anyone else experience extreme hunger pangs around 5 PM when trying to restrict meal sizes? How do you guys manage to stay full on such small meals?

A good baseline is 400 to 500 calories for major meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and keeping snacks under 150. This keeps your energy steady for workouts without causing energy crashes. Focus on adding good protein like egg whites or paneer to every meal to maintain muscle.

Keeping meals around 400 calories is very practical and highly budget-friendly if you stick to home-cooked Indian food. A simple meal of two rotis, a bowl of dal, and green sabzi fits this budget perfectly and costs almost nothing compared to expensive diet foods. Plan your groceries weekly to save money and stay on track.

Trying to survive on 350 calories per meal while sleeping only 5 hours a night is a direct recipe for disaster! Honestly, my tired brain just craves sugar all day long. But yes, keeping it around 400 calories with plenty of black coffee is what I try to do to stay awake and alive.

I used to panic if my lunch went over 400 calories, thinking I had ruined my entire weight loss progress. Later, I realized that if one meal is slightly heavy, you can just eat a lighter dinner of soup or salad. Don't stress over one meal, it's the weekly average that really counts!
