How long to sit in sauna for weight loss?

I read online that sitting in a sauna can help with weight loss, and my gym has one. I'm thinking of trying it. How long should one ideally sit in a sauna for it to be effective for weight loss? Is there a recommended duration?

Weight loss from a sauna? If only! You'll lose water weight, sure, but that comes back as soon as you drink water. So, sit in there till you feel relaxed, maybe 15-20 mins? But don't expect to magically fit into old jeans just from sweating it out, haha!

Saunas can help detoxify and relax muscles, which supports overall well-being. For weight loss, it's not a primary tool. However, a session of 10-20 minutes can be invigorating. Remember to hydrate well afterward, and focus on balanced diet and yoga/pranayama for sustainable weight management.

I used saunas a lot when I was trying to lose weight, thinking it would help. Honestly, you mostly just sweat out water. I'd sit for 15-25 minutes after my gym workout, and it felt good for recovery. But for actual fat loss, consistent calorie deficit and exercise are the real deal. Don't rely on sauna alone.

Uh, hi. So, sauna only makes you lose water, not fat? I thought it helped burn calories. How long can you safely stay inside then, without getting dehydrated? Is it safe for everyone?

Beta, sauna is good for relaxing, but for real weight loss, you need proper exercise and controlled food. My son goes to gym, he uses sauna for 15 minutes after workout, says it helps with muscle soreness. But don't think it will burn fat by itself. Focus on jogging and healthy meals.
