How long should baby sleep in parents room?

Our baby is 4 months old now, and we're confused about the sleeping arrangement. My mother-in-law says to keep the baby in our room for at least a year, but my wife thinks we should move her sooner. What is the usual recommendation for how long a baby should sleep in the parents' room?

I'm a new mom-to-be, so this is really helpful! So, they say 6 months to a year, right? Does that mean I should definitely get a co-sleeper bassinet for the first few months, or is a crib in the room fine?

For my relative, there were some complications, so the doctor was very specific about the baby's sleeping arrangements. They recommended keeping the baby in the parents' room for at least a year. Please, it's always best to get specific advice from your pediatrician, especially for safety.

It's so normal to worry about where your baby sleeps, I felt so anxious about everything related to their safety! But the general advice is to keep the baby in your room for the first 6 months to a year, in their own bassinet or crib. This helps reduce risks and also helps you monitor them better. Don't feel bad for being worried, it's part of being a parent.

Don't just believe whatever random tips you find online about baby sleep. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends keeping the baby in your room for at least 6 months, preferably a year, in their own separate sleep space. Always verify such crucial advice with your pediatrician.

Keeping the baby in the parents' room for the first 6-12 months is about ensuring safe sleep and quick response during the night. It contributes to everyone's overall well-being, like a good night's recovery after a heavy workout. Don't compromise on that sleep safety!

Yaar, actually, most docs recommend having the baby in your room for at least 6 months, some even say a year. It's for safety, like SIDS risk reduction. We kept our baby in a bassinet next to our bed for about 8 months, it was super convenient too.

Beta, earlier we always kept babies in our room only, till they were big enough to understand. Now doctors also say it's best for 6 months to a year. It's for their safety and for your peace of mind too. Don't worry, it's a good practice.
