How long for recovery from major sciatic nerve surgery pain?

I recently underwent major surgery for sciatic nerve pain, and the recovery is taking longer than I expected. I'm still dealing with significant pain and limited mobility. Can someone give me an idea of how long the recovery typically takes for major sciatic nerve surgery?

Sciatic nerve surgery is a big deal, so recovery pain will definitely take time. It's not a quick fix. You have to be very disciplined with physiotherapy and rest. And always keep your doctor updated, especially if you have high BP, as stress and pain can affect it. Regular checkups are crucial during this period.

Beta, after a major surgery like that, recovery takes a long time. Don't expect to be completely pain-free quickly. My relative also had it, and it was a few months before she felt significantly better, with proper physio. Be patient with your body and keep doing your exercises.

Oh my, sciatic nerve pain is no joke, and surgery is a huge step. Recovery will absolutely take time, usually many months of careful rehabilitation. Please, if you're feeling any concerning pain, don't ignore it like I did with some other issues once. Talk to your surgeon or physiotherapist right away.

Haan yaar, major surgery hai, toh time toh lagega hi na. Sciatic nerve ka mamla serious hota hai. Pain kam hone mein aur poora theek hone mein kayi mahine lag sakte hain. Physio aur proper rest bahut zaroori hai. Doctor ki baat suno bus.

Having gone through similar back surgery, I can tell you major sciatic nerve surgery pain relief isn't immediate. The initial post-op pain is intense, but then it gradually subsides over weeks. Full recovery, meaning no significant pain and back to most activities, can take 3-6 months with dedicated physiotherapy. Don't push yourself too fast.

I can only share what my colleague went through. After her sciatic nerve surgery, she was in considerable pain for the first few weeks, then it slowly eased with physical therapy. She said it was a good 6-8 months before she felt close to normal. Everyone's recovery is unique.

My son had severe sciatica, though not surgery. But I know major nerve surgery takes a long time to heal. It's not just physical pain, it's mental too. Ensure you have good home care, stick to all physio, and take your medicines on time. Give it at least 3-6 months to really feel better.
