How long does pp hair loss last?

My baby is 5 months old and my hair is still falling out terribly. My friends said it's normal 'pp hair loss' but I'm wondering when it will finally stop. How long does pp hair loss actually last?

Don't fall for every home remedy or product you see online for hair fall. A lot of it is just marketing. Postpartum hair loss is mostly hormonal. Talk to your doctor; they can confirm if it's normal or if there's an underlying issue that needs addressing.

Yaar, don't stress too much about it! It happens to almost everyone. My cousin had it really bad for about 8 months and then it slowly went away. Just make sure you're taking your supplements and try to get some rest. It's temporary, I promise!

I'm not a mom yet, but I've been doing some research, and this postpartum hair loss thing sounds really challenging. Most articles say it peaks around 3-6 months and then starts to slow down, generally resolving within a year. Hope it gets better for you soon!

My hair is falling out in clumps, but honestly, I'm so sleep-deprived, I don't even care anymore. I just hope it stops before I actually go bald. Maybe it's nature's way of lightening the load when you already have so much to carry? Lol.

I know exactly how you feel. Watching my hair fall out in handfuls after having my baby made me so sad and self-conscious. It felt like another part of me was just... gone. It did eventually get better around 9-10 months for me, but it's okay to mourn the change your body is going through.

Postpartum hair loss can be scary. Before spending a lot on expensive shampoos or treatments, maybe check if your doctor recommends any basic vitamin tests, like for Vitamin D or iron, which can contribute to hair fall. That way you only spend where needed, rather than trial and error.

Hey! It's super common after baby, don't worry too much! 🤗 Most of my friends said it started getting better around 6-9 months postpartum. Just eat well, try to relax (easier said than done, I know! 😉), and it will pass! ✨
