How long does pain last after wisdom teeth removal?

My dentist told me I need to get my wisdom tooth removed next month, and I'm a bit nervous. My cousin said her pain lasted for ages after her extraction. Just wondering, how long does the pain actually last for most people after wisdom teeth removal?

For me, the worst part was the first 3-4 days, especially with swelling. After that, it was mostly just discomfort and being careful while eating. Soft food is your best friend for a week or so, trust me.

Ugh, wisdom teeth. I got mine out last year. Pain was proper bad for like 2-3 days, couldn't even talk properly. After that, it kinda just faded over a week. Keep up with your meds, dude!

Oh, it's rough, I know! My pain was quite intense for about 4-5 days, then it became manageable with painkillers. The doctor said it depends on how impacted the tooth was, so everyone's experience is a bit different. Just follow all post-op instructions carefully.

It will get better. My son had his removed, and he felt relief after a few days. Just rest and take care, this too shall pass.

Typically, the acute pain subsides within 3-5 days, and discomfort can last for up to a week or ten days. It's crucial to follow your oral surgeon's specific advice regarding medication, diet, and oral hygiene to prevent complications. Don't hesitate to contact them if the pain worsens or doesn't improve.
