How long does it take for a positive pregnancy test?

My husband and I are trying to get pregnant, and I'm constantly checking for signs. I know home tests are available, but I'm unsure when to use them for the best accuracy. After conception, how long does it take for a positive pregnancy test result to show?

I am actually trying to learn about this too. Is it true we have to wait at least a week after a missed period to get an accurate line, or can we test earlier?

When my wife was expecting, she tested positive around 5 days after her missed period. That was our cue to stock up the fridge with all her favorite midnight chatpata snacks!

Haan na, waiting is the hardest part actually. Usually, you get a clear positive line 1 or 2 days after missing your date, so please have some patience.

I just went through this last month! I got a very faint line on the exact day of my missed period, but it became dark and solid when I tested again after 3 days.

From what I've been reading online, it takes about 10 to 14 days after conception for the hormone levels to be high enough to show up on home test kits.

Don't waste time testing too early as it only leads to confusion and anxiety. Best practice is to wait for the first morning urine the day after your missed period for a reliable result.
