How long does hrt take to work for weight loss?

I'm considering HRT for my menopausal symptoms, and a friend mentioned it can sometimes help with weight management. I've put on a few kilos, so I was wondering, how long does it take for HRT to show results for weight loss, if at all?

I once ignored major hormone warning signs and really regretted it later. HRT is not a weight loss pill, and any changes in weight can take 3 to 6 months to show. Please get your hormone levels checked by a proper endocrinologist rather than expecting quick weight loss.

According to my doctor, HRT isn't directly designed for weight loss, though it helps by balancing hormones which can improve metabolism. She mentioned it usually takes about 3 to 6 months of consistent therapy combined with a proper diet and exercise to notice any changes in body composition.

Just to be clear, HRT is meant to manage menopause symptoms, not specifically to shed pounds. You might see some changes in fluid retention and fat distribution after 3 to 6 months. Focus on a balanced diet and regular walks while your body adjusts to the hormones.

I was researching this for my mom recently. It seems HRT takes about 3 to 6 months to show any effect on weight, and even then, it is mostly due to improved sleep and energy levels helping you stay active. Pretty interesting how hormones affect everything!

If you are busy like me, you want quick results, but hormone therapy doesn't work that way. It takes at least 3 to 6 months to see any impact on weight. You must combine it with a calorie deficit and strength training to see actual progress.

Beta, the body takes time to adjust to these modern hormone medicines, usually 3 to 6 months. Along with your pills, drink warm water with lemon in the morning and eat simple, home-cooked food. Be patient and do not force your body to lose weight too fast.

Let's be real, HRT is not a shortcut to losing weight. It takes 12 to 24 weeks to stabilize your system, and weight loss only happens if you are actively managing your diet and working out. Consult your doctor and get a realistic plan.
