How long does hepatitis c take to show up?

My cousin recently had some blood tests after feeling unwell for a while, and the doctor mentioned checking for Hepatitis C. We're all a bit anxious, how long does it usually take for symptoms to show up after exposure?

It can take anywhere from 2 to 24 weeks for the virus to show up in tests, as everybody's inner system reacts differently. Keep your mind calm, stay positive, and let the doctors do their job. Taking care of your mental peace is just as important during these times.

I totally get it, waiting for results and worrying about when it will show up is so stressful. Typically, antibodies can take 4 to 12 weeks to show up in a blood test. Please try to take deep breaths and don't go through this anxiety alone.

Listen, from my experience, an RNA test can detect it within 1 to 2 weeks, but the standard antibody test takes around 8 to 11 weeks to show a clear result. Don't rush and get tested too early or you might get a false negative. Go to a reputed lab and follow the schedule your doctor gives.

When I had a suspected exposure, my doctor made me wait about 8 weeks before doing the antibody test. He explained that testing too early doesn't give a proper picture because the body needs time to build antibodies. That was just my personal experience with the timeline.

Oh god, the waiting game is the worst, it can take 4 weeks to 3 months to show up in tests and my mind is running in circles. I keep checking my eyes and skin for jaundice every single hour. Sending you lots of strength, please try to stay calm and see a doctor to get the right test scheduled.

It can take up to 6 months to show up properly, and ignoring it can lead to severe liver issues like I faced. Please do not delay or try to calculate the window period on your own. Go straight to a gastroenterologist or a general physician and let them run the correct tests.

It takes about 4 to 12 weeks for the body to show signs of the infection in blood tests. While you wait, keep your liver healthy with fresh home-cooked food, papaya, and haldi water, but remember no home remedy can cure the virus. Only proper medical tests and doctor's treatment will help you.

Beta, these medical tests have their own timing, usually taking 2 to 6 months for a clear picture. Back in our day, we didn't have such quick testing, so be glad you can get accurate answers now. Be patient, get tested at the right time, and don't lose sleep over it.

It usually takes about 4 to 12 weeks for the antibodies to show up in your blood, though it can sometimes take longer. Having PCOS has made me very careful about assuming anything about body timelines. It's always best to get a doctor's advice on when exactly you should get tested.

They say it takes around 8 to 12 weeks to show up on an antibody test, but is that always true? I am feeling so anxious waiting for this window to pass. Did anyone else here get tested earlier, or did you wait the full three months?
