How long does hair loss from stress last?

Been under a lot of stress lately with work and family stuff, and I've started noticing significant hair fall. My friend said it could be stress-related. I just want to know how long hair loss from stress typically lasts, will it come back once things calm down?

I agree that stress hair fall usually lasts around 3 to 6 months. Try to find a daily routine that helps you relax, as lowering the tension is the only way to stop the shedding.

Yes, stress hair loss typically lasts for 3 to 6 months once you manage the stress source. Don't worry, it is reversible.

I was reading about telogen effluvium, which is the medical term for stress hair loss. It typically starts 3 months after a stressful event and can continue shedding for about 6 months before it naturally stops.

The hair fall usually lasts for 3 months, and massaging your scalp with warm amla oil can help soothe the hair roots. However, if you notice bald patches or very heavy shedding, please consult a dermatologist to rule out other issues.

Your hair will naturally start to grow back in 3 to 6 months once your mind finds its peaceful state again. Try to stay positive, let go of worries, and take gentle care of your health during this healing phase.

Actually, my hair fall went on for a solid 4 months during my final exams, yaar. Once the exams got over and I slept properly, the shedding just stopped automatically. You just have to relax your brain first.

The irony of stress hair loss is that you get stressed about losing hair, which makes even more hair fall out for 6 months. It only stops when you finally get some decent sleep and stop staring at your hairbrush. Try to sleep more, seriously.
