How long does hair loss from mold grow back?

We had some mold issues in our old apartment, and I noticed my hair thinning a lot around that time. We've moved now, thankfully, but I'm curious if hair loss from mold exposure can grow back, and if so, how long does that usually take?

Don't worry too much, once you are completely away from the moldy environment, your hair should start growing back in about 3 to 6 months. Just focus on keeping your scalp clean and letting your body heal. If it takes longer, we can always consult a dermatologist together.

I had bad hair shedding when I lived in a damp, moldy hostel room for a year. After I shifted to a dry place, it took around 4 months to see small baby hairs growing back. Just get out of that damp space first, that is the main thing.

Beta, once the toxic air is gone, the hair roots will slowly revive, which usually takes about 4 to 6 months. You can gently apply mild warm coconut oil to soothe the scalp, but do not use anything harsh. Please consult a doctor if the scalp feels itchy or red.

Hair regrowth after mold-induced inflammation typically begins within 3 to 6 months after complete removal from the mold source. Because mold can cause scalp infections or allergic reactions, getting a proper diagnosis and treatment plan from a dermatologist is the most effective approach.

Dealing with mold is enough of a headache, and now losing hair because of it is just unfair. In my experience with environmental allergies, your body takes at least 3 to 6 months to recover and start growing hair again once you clean up the dampness. Patience is key here.

I just discovered some green mold behind my wardrobe and my hair has been thinning lately. Does the regrowth really start automatically once the room is cleaned, or do we need special scalp treatments? I am a bit confused.

The hair usually starts growing back in 3 to 6 months once you remove the mold. A simple practical solution is to scrub the walls with vinegar, keep your windows open for sunlight, and eat a protein-rich diet instead of buying expensive hair therapies.

Regrowth normally starts in 3 to 6 months once the source is eliminated. I believe keeping your immunity strong through daily exercise and a clean diet also helps your body recover from environmental toxins faster. Check with your doctor about basic health steps.

Actually, it takes a solid 4 months for the hair cycle to reset once you clean the mold, yaar. I had to use a dehumidifier in my room to stop the dampness. Just give it some time and the baby hairs will show up.

When I faced environmental hair fall, I visited the dermatology department at a major hospital. They did a proper scalp examination to ensure there was no permanent damage. I highly recommend visiting a good clinic and asking your doctor clearly about the recovery timeline.

Please be very careful as mold can sometimes trigger deep fungal scalp infections that won't just go away on their own. My cousin delayed treatment and suffered permanent patchy hair loss. If your scalp is red or scaling, please see a dermatologist immediately.

I would be so terrified if I found mold in my house causing my hair to fall out! I read that it can take up to 6 months of absolute clean air for the hair follicles to wake up again. Stay strong, keep your room super dry, and it will surely get better!

I agree that it takes about 3 to 6 months for hair to start growing back. Make sure your new room is well-ventilated so your scalp can heal completely.
