How long do pregnancy tests last?

My friend gave me some pregnancy test kits, but they've been in my drawer for a while now. I'm wondering if they're still good to use. How long do pregnancy tests typically last?

Yaar, the test kits have an expiry date, so check that. Once you do the test, you usually read the result within 5-10 minutes. Don't look at it after half an hour or an hour, sometimes false lines appear then. If you're unsure, just take another test or visit a doc.

Beti, the pregnancy test itself, the stick, has an expiry date, usually on the box, so you must check that before using. After you do the test, the result is usually valid for a short time, maybe 10-15 minutes to read it clearly. After that, it's best to discard. Some lines can appear later, which are not reliable. Be careful.

I've tried so many things! But for pregnancy tests, it's pretty simple. The kit itself has an expiry. Once you use it, read the result within the time specified in the instructions, typically 5-10 minutes. Don't trust it after that window. If there's any doubt, a blood test is always more accurate.

The test kits themselves have a shelf life, usually printed on the box, so check that. As for the result, you need to read it within the timeframe given in the instructions, typically 3-5 minutes, sometimes up to 10. After that, the result can become unreliable due to evaporation lines. If you're really trying to confirm, a blood test is the most accurate.

Most home pregnancy test kits have an expiry date, so first make sure it's not expired before using. Once you take the test, the result is only reliable within the first 5-10 minutes, as per the instructions. Waiting longer might show an 'evaporation line' which can be confusing. If you're stressed or have other symptoms, a doctor's visit is always best.
