How long after unprotected to take pregnancy test?

Last week, there was an incident where we had unprotected sex. I'm really concerned right now and want to check if I'm pregnant. How long after unprotected sex should I take a pregnancy test to get an accurate reading?

I totally get it, the waiting period can be so nerve-wracking. For the most accurate result, try to wait at least 14 days after the day you had unprotected sex. Hang in there, you are not alone.

I'm in a similar situation right now and honestly so worried. Is it true that testing at 10 days can give a false negative, or should I strictly wait for 14 days like everyone says?

Give it at least 14 days, buddy! Testing tomorrow won't show anything unless you've got some futuristic sci-fi tech in your bathroom. Just binge-watch a new series and let the calendar do its thing.

Wait at least 14 days after intercourse for a reliable home test. Testing on the day of your missed period is even better.

In my days, we didn't have these instant kits, but the rule of thumb remains the same. Wait for at least two to three weeks so your body can show the signs clearly. Don't worry, patience always brings clarity.
