How long after starting chemotherapy does hair fall out?

My friend is undergoing chemotherapy, and she's very distressed about the hair loss. I want to know when she can expect her hair to start falling out after beginning the treatment. It's tough seeing her go through this.

I know how terrifying this thought is, and the anxiety of waiting for it to happen can be overwhelming. Usually, it starts around 2 to 3 weeks after your first cycle. Try to take it one day at a time, your feelings are completely valid.

My aunt went through this, and her hair started thinning about 18 days after her first session. She actually shaved it off before it could fall out in clumps, which she said felt much more empowering. Hugs to you, stay strong!

It usually begins within 15 to 20 days. While you are going through this, make sure to eat protein-rich vegetarian meals like sprouts and dal to help your body cope with the treatment. Gentle scalp massages with simple coconut oil can also help soothe any irritation.

It generally starts within 2 to 3 weeks! While it is a big change, you can try experimenting with some super stylish wigs or beautiful scarves. Sending you lots of love and positive vibes! 💕

Haan, physically it takes about 2 to 3 weeks for the hair fall to start na. It is a tough phase but quite common with chemo. Many people keep colorful turbans or soft caps ready beforehand to feel comfortable.

I totally get it, the thought of losing your hair can feel so heavy and unfair. It usually starts shedding around the 2nd or 3rd week. Please be gentle with yourself, you are going through a lot right now.

When my son went through treatment, his hair started falling out in his hands by the end of the second week. It is heartbreaking as a parent, but we focused on keeping his scalp clean and comfortable with baby lotion. It does grow back once the cycles finish.
