How long after sex does pregnancy occur?

My friend and I were discussing how pregnancy works, and she said it doesn't happen right away. I'm curious to know, how long after sex does pregnancy technically occur, like when does fertilisation or implantation happen?

Pregnancy can take up to 6 to 12 days to fully occur as the fertilized egg needs to travel and implant. Having gone through a difficult pregnancy myself, I highly suggest tracking this closely with a doctor. Don't rely on guesses if you feel any abnormal cramping.

To keep it simple, fertilization happens within 24 hours of the egg being released, but sperm can live inside for 5 days. So pregnancy is only fully established when implantation happens, about 6 to 12 days after intercourse. No need to panic early.

Your body takes about a week or two after sex to actually start the pregnancy process. Keep eating clean and maintaining your normal workout routine while your body does its thing. Don't stress, stress ruins your hormone balance.

Haan, it is not instant na. Sperm can wait inside for up to 5 days, and then fertilization and implantation take another week. So basically, it takes around 6 to 11 days for pregnancy to actually occur.

Biologically, conception can happen within hours to a few days after sex, but the actual pregnancy is established once implantation occurs, which is about 6-12 days later. A gynecologist can explain this cycle best based on your specific tracking.
